Things You Never Thought To Be Grateful For

My son and I were talking the other day about the things we would appreciate when we got back to the US that we never even thought to even think twice about. We thought we’d share some of our list …

  • Running Water
  • The ability to drink water straight out of the faucet
  • Understanding conversations that are happening around you
  • Various kitchen appliances that make life easier
  • Friendships that are just a short drive away
  • A hot shower
  • Washing machines
  • For that matter, dryers!
  • Libraries & Bookstores
  • Paved roads
  • The changing of the seasons
  • Doggie parks
  • com (jaja)
  • The ability to close a door when you want privacy
  • Internet connection
  • General sense of safety
  • 3 meals a day & snacks
  • Consistent electricity & electrically grounded wiring
  • A movie that is in English … & movie theatres
  • Bug spray that keeps the bugs at bay & sealed up houses
  • Drive through bank ATMs
  • All the various things you can buy at a grocery store! (today, it’s cheddar cheese we’re looking forward to)

…and, of course, Sushi (Loki’s addition)!

That’s not to say none of these exist in Mexico, just not where we live!
